Session Four, Day Two: Field Trip!

IMG_1690

Today, KidsAct! and TeensAct! took a road trip over to the Norman Rockwell Museum! Here, we explored rooms of paintings, photographs, and magazine covers, all of which we discussed as possible inspiration for our plays. We saw artwork centered around wacky families with dogs, generals going off to war, presidential figures, and more. It will certainly be equally exciting and challenge to devise our plays with so many options! After finishing at the museum, we took a nature hike around the museum before heading back to the Wolfson Center. Kids created images based around artwork at the museum, and teens devised short scenes. Tomorrow, both groups will begin to discuss possible storylines, characters, and settings for our plays… with so much to inspire us, we are sure to create something great!
