Nothing With Gods, Nothing With Fate!

Boy did we work today!  In the morning, both groups worked some spots and then came together for a run through.  After our morning, we were treated to a pizza party by our lovely hosts at Zion Lutheran Church.  There was tons of pizza and juice for us all to enjoy together.  Then in the afternoon, both groups did another run through.  The Kids are very excited to present, Into The Woods… 2!, which features music from Into The Woods and Gypsy!  The Teens are proud to present The Play That Went OOF!, which features music from The Frogs, A Funny Thing Happened On The Way to The Forum, and Gypsy!

It Takes Two… Popsicles!

Today was our popsicle day!  And it was a double popsicle day!  After we gave out our popsicles, we were visited by the Copsicle Truck!  So everyone got to have two popsicles!  It was a great way to cool off on this HOT day.  Boy we were thankful to go back inside and cool off!  With both shows finished, we spent most of our day inside refining and working on what we haven’t perfected yet.  The Kids worked hard on their intro and the Teens had a stumble through.  Tomorrow is Tony Awards Day and we cannot wait to see everyone in their Tony Awards finest!

Into The Woods, It’s Time To GO!

Today was Fairy Tale Day, inspired by the Sondheim classic Into the Woods, which was just on the Barrington Boyd-Quinson Mainstage!  We all dressed in Fairy Tale inspired outfits.  We had Fairies, wizards, and even Elton John.  He is his own kind of fairy tale creature!  In the morning, the Teens learned the lyrics to Broadway, reviewed the combo they learned yesterday, and had a Tap Class!  We might see some Soft Shoe in their show!  The Kids began to learn Ever After from Into The Woods, and continued their choreography for Together Wherever We Go!  At lunch, we were visited by the Copsicle Truck!  Officer Derby stopped by and gave us all popsicles, which was a welcome surprise!  In the afternoon, both groups set their minds to devising.  The Teens began to work on a crazy audition scene full of wacky characters.  The Kids are continuing to work with the idea of a magical wood full of some crazy characters.
